Equipment Description

This instrument is used to prepare specimens for standardized impact testing. The material is first machined into a bar-shaped specimen, after which the notching machine creates a notch with a specified angle, depth, and width in accordance with the applicable testing standard. The notched specimen is then used for impact testing, such as Izod or Charpy pendulum tests.
