Equipment Description
This instrument enables the rapid and precise analysis of the size of nanoparticles and proteins using dynamic light scattering (DLS). Unlike other similar instruments, a major advantage of the Omni is the availability of three detection angles, providing greater flexibility depending on the size and nature of the analyte: 15°, 90°, and 173° (backscattering).
In addition, the zeta potential can be determined under different conditions. The instrument is coupled with a BI-ZTU autotitrator, allowing measurements to be performed at different pH values to determine the isoelectric point, for example, or to vary the salinity.
In the laboratory, this instrument is commonly used to analyze gold nanoparticles in aqueous solution. Depending on the type of cuvette used, other solvents may also be suitable.
