Equipment Description
The Photron FASTCAM Mini UX100 high-speed camera delivers high performance despite its compact size. It provides an image resolution of 1280 × 1024 pixels at 4,000 frames per second and can reach speeds of up to 800,000 frames per second by reducing the resolution. At 6,400 frames per second, it still provides a 1280 × 720 pixel resolution, equivalent to high-definition video. This makes the UX100 a lightweight and compact option for applications ranging from fluid dynamics and life sciences to ballistic testing. The camera is primarily used to visualize high-speed phenomena, such as nanofiber formation.
