Equipment Description

Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC) is an analytical technique used to characterize polymers in solution. This technique allows the determination of the number-average molar mass (Mn), weight-average molar mass (Mw), and polydispersity index (PDI) of materials. In an SEC column, polymer chains are separated according to their hydrodynamic diameter.

The mobile phase is THF. Measurements are relative to polystyrene standards (hydrophobic) only.
