Laboratory Research

• Develop and characterize a new tissue-engineered model of psoriatic skin substitutes

• Perform physicochemical characterization of pathological skin substitutes using infrared and Raman spectroscopy

• Validate the pathological skin substitute model by comparing the skin penetration of lipophilic, hydrophilic, and amphiphilic molecules

• Study the effects of serum during the culture of skin substitutes

• Use the pathological properties of psoriatic keratinocytes to develop a monolayer inflammation model

• Study the antioxidant, toxicological, and antiproliferative properties of polyphenolic extracts from the bark of Canadian tree species on normal and psoriatic keratinocytes
