Laboratory Research
Our research focuses on synthetic challenges, particularly involving metastable main-group species. Our interests include the development of the chemistry of oxidizing functional groups (nitrogen oxides, peroxides, etc.) with heavy main-group elements such as phosphorus and silicon. Beyond our fundamental research interests, we seek to develop novel, high-performance energetic materials (propellants, pyrotechnics, and explosives) with a low environmental footprint.
