Equipment Description

Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) is a solution-based analytical technique used to determine the hydrodynamic diameter of particles and the particle size distribution of dispersed particles in a solvent. In the laboratory, the instrument is primarily used to analyze the size distribution of synthesized nanoparticles, as well as their stability in solution (colloidal stability).
