Equipment Description

The VAC solvent purification system is a complete system designed to purify commercially available common organic solvents into higher-grade, anhydrous, and inert organic solvents. Operating entirely under an inert atmosphere, the system allows the preparation of large volumes of solvents (4 L) without the need for additives or heating, making the process fast and safe. Once introduced into the system, the solvent passes through a cartridge containing drying agents (molecular sieves) and is then stored in a reservoir. The anhydrous and inert solvent can subsequently be dispensed directly into a reaction flask. The solvent purification system consists of several modules, each dedicated to a specific type of solvent. The available modules are: tetrahydrofuran (THF), diethyl ether (Et₂O), acetonitrile (ACN), dimethylformamide (DMF), toluene (Tol), and dichloromethane (DCM).


Technical Specifications

  • Residual moisture: less than 1 ppm;

  • Purification time: 4 hours;

  • Cartridge lifetime: more than 250 liters of ACS-grade solvents;

  • Reaction flask adapter: 24/40 joint; adapters for other joint sizes are available.
