2023 Symposium | Thursday, March 2, 2023 at the Château Laurier Hotel in Old Quebec

Goals

The CERMA Annual Symposium is an event organized each year by and for the student community of the research centre, providing a platform for them to present the latest developments in their research. Each edition features approximately 40 oral and poster presentations delivered to an audience of around 100 people. It offers an opportunity for the various research groups to exchange ideas on scientific issues, forge new connections, and establish new partnerships. The presence of invited speakers from various research centres, Canadian and international universities, and materials science industries allows CERMA's expertise to be showcased beyond Université Laval.

Ms. Eugénie Brouillet , Vice-Rector for Research, Creation and Innovation, delivered a brief address at the beginning of the conference.

In addition to giving a presentation on their organization and on the issues related to public and private research, our guests participated in a table discussion on intellectual property, entrepreneurship, research and collaboration.

Theme: From public to private

The 2023 edition featured presentations from the student community, both oral and poster. The symposium also included presentations and a roundtable discussion related to this year's theme.
