CERMA Annual Symposium
Conference 2021 | Friday, May 7
The 2021 edition of the CERMA Annual Symposium took place on May 7th and brought together nearly 80 participants.
The CERMA Annual Symposium is organized each year by and for the students of the research centre, providing them with an opportunity to present the latest developments in their research. Each edition features approximately 40 oral and poster presentations delivered to an audience of about 100 people. It offers a platform for the various research groups to exchange ideas on scientific topics, forge new connections, and establish new partnerships. The presence of invited speakers from various research centres, Canadian and international universities, and materials science industries allows CERMA's expertise to be showcased beyond Université Laval.
The 2021 edition included conferences and student poster presentations. The Zoom poster session was preceded by a " poster express " session, during which students presenting a poster had two minutes to capture the participants' attention and convince them to discover their work. In addition, a new format at CERMA, " My Business in 180 Seconds ," was implemented during the day to foster connections between students and companies and facilitate networking.
