Equipment Description
This instrument is used to deposit thin films of a material onto a substrate from a solution. It is widely employed in microelectronics to produce ultra-thin conductive or semiconductive coatings. The system consists of a rotating platform operating at a controlled speed, on which the substrate is secured by vacuum during rotation. A droplet of solution, suspension, or gel containing the material is then dispensed onto the substrate, where it spreads uniformly under the action of centrifugal force.
At the research center, this instrument is primarily used to fabricate thin polymer films for applications in organic electronics.
