MITACS Funding

MITACS offers several funding opportunities throughout the year:

  • Mitacs Accelerate

Put your expertise to work through a paid internship with an organization that can benefit from your skills. Scholarships start at CAD $15,000, while partner organizations contribute a minimum of CAD $7,500. Learn more.

  • Mitacs Accelerate Entrepreneur

The Mitacs Accelerate Entrepreneur program provides financial support to entrepreneurial graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, helping them achieve their commercialization goals while further developing the research or technology at the core of their startup. Learn more.

  • Mitacs Accelerate Fellowship

The Mitacs Accelerate Fellowship provides long-term funding and internship opportunities for master's and doctoral students. Fellows also gain access to professional development training designed to support the success of their projects and help them develop highly valued career skills. Learn more.

  • Mitacs Globalink Research Award

The Mitacs Globalink Research Award (GRA) supports international research collaborations between Canada and eligible countries and regions through research mobility. Under the joint supervision of a home and a host faculty member, senior undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows may complete one or two research internships lasting 12 to 24 weeks.
